Kindergarten

(Click on this link for a printable copy of supply list for Kindergarten)

At Redwood, we are dedicated to giving your child the best education possible, while keeping your child safe and healthy. Due to COVID-19 and the concerns this year’s supply list is different. Instead of supplies coming in from many different areas, I would like to be able to buy the supplies from the same places in order to keep them as ready as possible for your child. There is an additional charge for kindergarten of $45. This money will cover the supply list at the bottom of the page. All supplies and rain pants, except for Lysol Wipes and tissues, will be your child’s for this year. At the end of the year they will go home with your child as their own. There are several things that are not included in the charge that I ask you for your child. These three things will help their forest kindergarten experience. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me at svandevere@weloveredwood.com.

  • Rain Pants - $20
  • Lysol Wipes - $10 (for duration of the year)
  • Scissors – $1.88
  • Glue sticks - $1.14
  • Box of 24 Crayola crayons – $3.96
  • Box of 10 Markers - $2.38
  • Box of 12 colored pencils - $1.88
  • Tissues, set of 3 - $4.68

There are some things that you will need that will help with the garden program. These you can supply from home.

Dear Parents,

We are blessed still to have a large supply of pencils, gluesticks, rulers, scissors, and markers that were donated after the fire, so these will be provided for your child. They will be sanitized and separated into individual containers with your children’s names on them prior to school starting.

PLEASE CLEARLY MARK EACH SCHOOL ITEM WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.

Many thanks,

Cora Clark

Dear Parents:

With our upcoming school year beginning in a few short weeks, I would like to share my plan for school supplies with you. Typically, I have sent out a list of supplies for parents to purchase, but this year I would like to ask each of you for $35 to purchase the supplies myself. This way, I will be able to purchase everything ahead of time, label each student’s supplies with his/her class number, and have everything ready to go when we start school. I am taking every precaution to keep children’s supplies and belongings separated at school to ensure my students’ safety during COVID-19. There are a few items that you will need to purchase for your child for our outdoor education program that are not covered with the $35. This includes:

  • Rubber boots for garden and outdoor activities (these will be kept at school)

  • An all-weather, water-proof jacket

  • Water-proof outdoor pants (optional but recommended)

I have arranged my classroom to allow for six feet of distance between each desk which will limit room for shared spaces such as our classroom library rug and bean bags. If you would like to purchase a comfortable bean bag or a comfy folding reading chair for your child to go next to his/her desk, check out the links below. If you decide to purchase a bean bag or reading chair, please make sure that it is made of vinyl or a material that can be wiped down for easy cleaning. All of our classroom surfaces will be cleaned on a daily basis. If you choose not to purchase a reading bean bag or chair, I have a woggle disc your child may use when sitting and reading.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks. Please feel free to email me at ecampbell@weloveredwood.com if you have any questions about school supplies or any other matter.

Blessings,
